I had the great pleasure to review “The Girl Who Cannot Eat Peanut Butter” written by Sharon Chisvin, with whimsical illustrations by Carol Leszcz.
Geared toward younger school-aged children, this book introduces us to Sam, a young girl with a peanut allergy. With well-written rhyme, the author identifies Sam’s special status as The Girl Who Cannot Eat Peanut Butter. Much like Gil who wears glasses or Niri who is tall, Sam is special and different, but the same as them all.
This 20 page book is a great read for food allergic kids, their friends, teachers and parents alike. The earlier this book can be read in the school years, the better.

Well done Sharon Chisvin!
